Risk is an issue that affects all areas of a business and influences business success or failure. Increasingly those of us working in accounting and finance are being called upon to play an active role in identifying and controlling business risks.
Join us as Mr. Gerald Brock, CPA, CIA, presents and discusses Management of Business Risks from an Internal Auditor's Perspective.
Gerald Brock, CPA, CIA, manages Internal Audit Services at the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) headquartered in Alexandria,Virginia. He is also an adjunct faculty member for University of Maryland University College (UMUC), where he teaches a broad range of accounting classes, including intermediate accounting, financial auditing, and governmental and non-profit accounting.

Issues in Accounting and Auditing
Dr. Gary Bulmash is the Distinguished Tyser Teaching Fellow at the University of Maryland Smith School of Business. His areas of expertise are financial accounting and auditing. Dr. Bulmash is actively involved in educating accounting students and practioners. He has taught numerous continuing education courses for CPAs, and has received awards for outstanding discussion leader from various State CPA Societies and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
