We are pleased to again provide this ethics session that is required under law to maintain your CPA license in Virginia.  This program:

  • Meets the annual Virginia Board of Accountancy (BOA) ethics requirement for existing VA CPA license holders.
  • Provides an update on current ethical and regulatory developments.
  • Illustrates practical issues based on actual cases covering integrity and objectivity, professional competence, and planning and supervision.
  • Explains the BOA complaint investigation and enforcement process.
  • Satisfies 2 credit hours for both the Maryland and District of Columbia’s State Boards of Public Accountancy.

Our presenter will be James D. Cole, who has been approved by the VA Society of CPAs to facilitate this session.  Mr. Cole is currently the CEO of the Masonic Home of Virginia, a continuing care retirement community located in Richmond.  His extensive experience with business and nonprofit organizations includes roles as an auditor, consultant, officer, founder and/or board member to several dozen tax exempt entities and entrepreneurial businesses, both in the U.S. and abroad.  His speaking experience includes local, regional, national and international professional workshops, conferences and seminars.
